The story of Planetary Design and the creation of the stainless steel double-skinned French Press cafetière came, amazingly enough, from a backpacking experience some years ago in Northern Montana in the United States. Planetary Design founder, Mark Porter, accidentally broke his glass-lined cafetière, but thinking laterally, he came up with ideas for a new generation of glassless stainless steel coffee presses and the unique Planetary Design range was born.
